FREQUENCY TRANSFORMERS - MEDIUM POWER TRANSFORMERS

As FREQUENCY TRANSFORMERS, we offer fast quotes, flexible planning, and on-time delivery for oil-immersed and dry-type medium power transformers. Our IEC 60076-compliant designs, with low losses and high short-circuit resistance, ensure reliable supply for EPCs, importers, and operators.

Why FREQUENCY TRANSFORMERS?

  • Standard compliance: IEC/EN 60076 series, EcoDesign efficiency requirements
  • Speed and transparency: 24–48 hour preliminary quote, clear delivery schedule, scheduled shipment
  • Reliability: Low no-load/load loss, low noise, high surge and short-circuit resistance
  • Documentation: Type/routine test reports, CE/CoC, nameplate, and project drawings
  • Logistics: Europe and Balkan-focused deliveries, Incoterms-compliant options

Product Scope:

  • Oil-immersed medium power transformers: Hermetic or with expansion tank (ONAN/ONAF/ODAF)
  • Dry-type (cast resin/VPI) medium power transformers: Indoor/critical facility applications
  • Step-up/step-down transformers: Solar power plants/windows power stations, grid intermediate voltages
  • Kiosk/container transformer substations: RMU + Transformer + LV panel integrated packages
  • Special applications: BESS/PCS compatible, low-harmonic and low-noise series

Technical Specifications and Options:

  • Power range: 2.5–40 MVA (higher powers possible on a project basis)
  • Voltage levels: MV 6–36 kV; HV side project-based (52–154 kV typical); LV 0.4–1 kV
  • Cooling: ONAN/ONAF/ODAF (oil-immersed); AN/AF (dry-type)
  • Oil: Mineral or natural ester (FR3) – environmental and fire safety
  • Insulation: High impact resistance; BIL/LI levels as required by project
  • Connection groups: Suitable for topologies such as Dyn11, YNd1, YNyn0, etc.
  • Loss classes: Low-loss options compatible with EU/EcoDesign
  • Accessories: Buchholz, pressure relay, oil/level/temperature indicators, CT/VT, fan groups
  • Monitoring: PT100/NTC, temperature relay, dry contacts; Interface for online monitoring
  • Enclosure/coating: IP23–IP55; C3–C5-M corrosion-rated paint; seismic design option
  • Tests: Routine, type, and dielectric tests; dry-type partial discharge; customer-tested FAT

Application Areas:

  • Solar power plants/wind power plants: Step-up station transformers, station/load centers
  • Grid and distribution companies: MV/HV intermediate voltage transformations
  • Energy storage (BESS) and microgrids: PCS-compatible designs
  • Heavy industry, data centers, hospitals, mining, and infrastructure projects

Engineering and Integration:

  • Optimized impedance and thermal design for short-circuit and dynamic loads
  • Harmonic and thermal resistance in high THDi applications (inverter/PCS)
  • SCADA/RTU integration: Dry contacts, monitoring modules (panel (via)
  • Support for protection coordination, voltage drop, and grounding calculations
  • Field logistics: Modular transport, lifting points, rapid commissioning procedures

Benefits for importers and EPCs:

  • Fast quotation and technical clarification list in 24–48 hours
  • Country-specific nameplate, CE/CoC, single-line, and assembly drawings
  • EXW, FCA, CPT, DAP delivery options; customs and packaging support
  • Long-term price stability, flexible order quantities, and synchronized shipping

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Delivery times? 6–14 weeks depending on power/specifications; part-stock options possible.
  • Oil- or dry-type? Let's choose together based on fire safety, installation location, and TCO.
  • Noise target? We offer low dB(A) designs that comply with local regulations.
  • Which tests? Routine/type/dielectric tests in accordance with IEC 60076; customer-witnessed FAT.

Slide 1
Hermetic Type Distribution
Transformers

Long Insulation Life:The transparent insulation oil of the atmosphere does not come into contact with oxygen and insulation deterioration is prevented without oxidation. This extends the insulation life and general service life of the transformer.
Low Maintenance Requirement:No regular maintenance is required other than cleaning under normal conditions and use.
Dimension Advantage:The expansion tank is dimensionally stopped. The transformer, which is the solution to the problem, provides the advantage

Slide 2
Distribution Transformers with Expansion Tanks

Long Insulation Life:Since it is closed to the atmosphere, the insulation oil does not come into contact with oxygen and insulation deterioration caused by oxidation is prevented. This extends the insulation life of the transformer and therefore its service life.

Low Maintenance Requirement:It does not require periodic maintenance other than cleaning under normal conditions and use.

Dimension Advantage:Since there is no expansion tank, the height is reduced in terms of dimensions. This provides an advantage in transformer centers with height problems

Power
Transformers

It is usually designed with an expansion tank. As a cooling element, radiator groups that can be easily installed and removed are preferred. Depending on the characteristics and importance of the place of use, it is common to equip them with more protection equipment than distribution transformers.
